Restriction on shipping goods to the USA

Due to new U.S. customs regulations, shipping goods to the United States will be restricted starting August 26, 2025. The last possible shipping date is therefore Monday, August 25, 2025.

Only gift shipments with a maximum value of USD 100 (approximately 85 euros, subject to the daily exchange rate) are permitted. These shipments must be clearly marked as gifts on the accompanying customs declaration form (CN22/CN23).

Commercial shipments or goods exceeding this value are subject to strict customs requirements and are excluded from regular shipping. Such shipments can currently be sent via Post Express — please refer to post.at/postexpress

Questions & answers

How much is the customs clearance in the recipient’s country?

Depending on the recipient’s country, different import duties (import turnover tax and, if applicable, customs and duties) might apply. The recipient will have to pay these on site.

What customs documents need to be enclosed in the shipment?

You will need customs forms, invoices, or pro forma invoices (a pro forma invoice is proof for merchandise that has no commercial value). For detailed information, please see the customs regulations.

What is the merchandise’s country of origin?

The country of origin is the country where the merchandise is from; where it was produced, manufactured, or assembled. If several countries were involved in the production, the country of origin will be the country where the last substantial economically justified processing or working took place.
